Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning of the site including monitoring and managing MRP, safety stocks, and material risk analysis to support new program launches
- Responsible for site strategic supply planning efforts, including ownership of the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning
- Effectively focus and complete key supply chain projects.
- Engage with all levels of the organization.
- Manage and leverage upside commercial opportunities.
- Create and improve departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
- Support Root Cause Corrective Measures (RCCM) & department Kaizen events
- Engage in department moral and Employee Involvement Survey (EIS) continuous improvement initiatives
- Respond to departmental escalation
- Champion department savings initiatives
- Manage work order releases or establish a system to ensure WIP inventory control
- Provide team with clear direction of roles and responsibilities
- Ensure material management processes are compliant to set expectations in ISO 13485/ ISO 9001 environment.
- Establish and ensure departmental procedures are complied with.
- Create strategies related to demand management, supplier planning, material planning, capacity planning, SIOP, master scheduling & performance measurements
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory, Scrap & E&O within manufacturing operations area along with Site Operations leader.
- Lead a team towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals
- Ensure compliance with company's policies and operational protocols
- Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions
- Report to senior leadership on progress and issues
The planning manager is responsible for translating the Operations Plan into a tactical Master Production Schedule (MPS) and operational planning execution. The Planning Manager will also support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Orders for current products.
