US MNC : Area Sales Manager (Sensors) @ Bangalore

Our client is a diversified industrial growth company, with a $6B portfolio of market-leading brands with Globally diverse team of 24,000 employees.
Group company within the Sensor Technologies platform that designs & manufactures a broad line of sensing products including pressure, Flow, Level & Solenoid valves instruments. Products are used in a wide variety of applications like Diesel Gensets, Off Highway Vehicles, Medical, general applications etc.
Another group company , including pressure, current, vacuum, humidity sensors & particle counting instruments. Products finds application within the global HVAC/R, Life Sciences, Industrial, & Semiconductor markets.
Number of openings : 1 No.
Qualifications & Experience

Graduate / Postgraduate in Engineering/Technology with 5-10 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, or Customer-Facing experience in sales.

Basic Function & Essential Duties:

Develop & Generate new business in new customers & market verticals as well as existing customers & distributors.
Work closely with OEMs, Engineering firms, Consultants & System Integrators to ensure our Sensors products are specified & mentioned in approved supplier lists & that business is maintained & developed.
Complete all necessary steps from lead generation, opportunity creation, opportunity development & maintenance, follow up & closing of the sale.
Utilize application knowledge to efficiently process customer information, respond to inquiries & address any customer issues in a timely fashion.
Utilize company CRM database to maintain accurate, updated, & organized information on all assigned customers & company leads.
Travel or connect to customer locations as required; present company products, services & pricing information in a professional manner.
Required Skills/Experience:

Understanding of Electro-Mechanical industrial products & use in different Industrial or Medical Applications.
Knowledge & experience in the Sales of Sensors.
Knowledge of customer end products/electrical systems/Instrumentation.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook Exchange.
Strong business acumen.
High personal motivation to hunt new customers & drive profitable business growth
Strong accountability & ownership philosophy
Understanding of & effective use of CRM packages like Salesforce
Ability to work collaboratively with distribution partners to drive profitable business growth
Desired Skills/Experience:

Understanding of sensor usage in market verticals like Machines Tools, Medical, Test & Measurements, Weather Stations, Chillers, Compressors, Water boosting etc.
Understanding of International business transactions like material customs clearing, documentations etc.
Knowledge of industrial or medical instrumentation products.
Language- Understand & fluent in speaking in Hindi, English & local south India languages.
Critical Success Factors:
Understand customer needs & translate them into a viable product
To articulate Technical Information to Electrical & Mechanical Engineers & end users.
Establish & build relationships & win business via cold & warm visits/calling.
Represents Portrays the company & self well face to face & over the phone with a clear & charismatic presence.
Maintain a service-oriented & customer-focused mindset.
Travel: 75% Travel/customer contact (audio calls) required for the position
