Job Description :
Controls and Continuity Service Center of Excellence (CCS COE) supports Commercial Banking business and control partners by providing quality assurance as well as control and regulatory related services. CCS COE collaborates with a wide variety of partners, supporting operational as well as risk-related activities, producing results which are then reported and communicated back to the appropriate stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
Role is for an associate to execute Control Evaluations in support of all Commercial Banking businesses and functions, inclusive of:
  • Design/develop appropriate risk-based control evaluations (per CORE guidance)
  • Conduct control design walkthroughs with business and operations partners
  • Perform evaluations to validate the effectiveness of controls across CB and to identify control gaps
  • Provide evidence for control evaluation using standard templates and systemic evaluation functionality to ensure quality results are achieved
  • Review, challenge and substantiate control ratings through the evaluation process
  • Provide remediation recommendations for controls identified as ineffective
  • Evaluate team methods and processes, making recommendations for improvement and efficiencies
  • Independently manage evaluations to ensure accurate and timely completion according to established deadlines/calendars
  • Develop positive working relationships with team members and business partners to maintain an open environment for collaboration, risk identification, and issue solving/resolution

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, or risk management preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of firmwide CORE Standards and Procedures, with the ability to independently assess risk
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with business and functional experts to provide guidance and to recognize risks and gaps
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills - ability to remain flexible and productive through shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve deadlines and deliver quality results and meet tight deadlines within a team environment
  • Self-motivated and confident decision-maker with the ability to challenge and influence change where necessary, with a desire to drive process improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
  • Ability to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output, influence stakeholders and justify decision making
  • Excels in using Microsoft suite, PitchPro, and able to quickly learn various other tools/platforms
  • Knowledge of Commercial Banking sub-LOB, Functional areas is a plus
  • Very high level of professionalism and sense of urgency
