This opportunity will see you join our Finance Management Group Central team who are responsible for data management and governance, transformation projects across the finance functions and change management across strategy, communications, and learning. In this role you'll manage expense recharges of the Financial Management Group function and provide financial summaries and reporting on various aspects of the profit and loss statement as well as information for regulatory and statutory requirements. You'll liaise with auditors (both internal and external) and help drive implementation of new technology solutions in your team. You'll also provide high quality reporting with a focus on identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and with your strong communication skills relay these to senior stakeholders. You'll also be involved in budgeting and forecasting for the function including driving key discussions with senior stakeholders. You'll help drive and co-ordinate cost reduction and common process improvement projects as part of the finance transformation strategy. You'll also ensure compliance with finance control standards for the reporting entity while showcasing quality consciousness in all aspects of deliverables.
To be successful in this role you'll be a Chartered Accountant or hold an MBA Finance or other equivalent professional qualification and bring 2-4 years of experience from financial services. You'll have previous exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment and demonstrate strong analytical skills. You'll also have a deep understanding of accounting concepts, advance excel skills and strong customer service ethics in order to proactively understand client requirements and maintain good relationships.
As this role sits withing a global team it also important that you're able to work efficiently in a virtual environment and that you can manage cross-border relationships effectively. Working knowledge of technology enablement solutions like Power BI, TM1, Alteryx etc. and an ability to implement new technologies for automation and operational excellence will be an added advantage. Willingness to travel overseas and previous exposure to IFRS will be preferred.
