Roles and ResponsibilitiesJOB DESCRIPTION of Datacenter Operations

Job Title (Designation): Executive Officer Department: IT (Datacenter)
Reports to:Vice President
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevantexperience
Required Qualification: Diploma in Engineering Preferred Qualification: Any Graduation

Skill, Knowledge & Trainings:
Basic knowledge of Unix, Linux Window 7, Oracle etc.
'L2 level' knowledge of IBM Tivoli/Spectrum Protect, HP Dataprotector.
Core Competencies:
Should have worked on IBMTivoli/Spectrum Protect, HPDataprotector
Should have worked on Unix/LinuxPlatform
Functional Competencies:
Should have Knowledge of Inventorymanagement/Documentation related to
Datacenter operations.
Should have basic Knowledge of PAC, UPS& FM 200 Fire suppression system.
Job Purpose: To be a member of Datacenter Operations team shall be responsible for overallDatacenter Operations.
Area of Operations Key Responsibility
BOD & EOD Perform BOD &EOD at each working day as per
procedure mentioned in SOP.
Database and Application To Start & Stop database and application,
switching of application logs etc.
Backup Taking backup through IBM Tivoli/Spectrum
Protect, HP Data protector software and first
level of troubleshooting, Taking OS Backup,
Media management.
Daily website update Regularly uploading files on website to keepthe website updated.
Monitoring Physical monitoring of critical equipment's inDatacenter / Network Room and escalating theissue observed to the concerned team.
Documentation Maintaining Job sheet, log sheet, reports andother documentation.
Any Other Requirement: Should have good communication skills and co-ordination with peer & Other Teams. Should perform material in / out activity in absence of concerned team member.
