Responsibilities
. Lead and manage the Payroll Transitions Team to deliver employee centric service and execute timely and accurate pay adjustments
. Ensure cases are resolved fully, within SLAs and as per regulatory or control requirements
. Actively manage payroll processes and activities including local handling of cases/escalations, data flow management, tax, quality assurance, risk and controls, reporting and metrics.
. Define and measure productivity metrics at employee, process and team level
. Ensure quality reviews and scorecards are completed on team members
. Document and maintain accurate and up to date SOPs, process maps, and material for all existing and new processes
. Document, review and assess all controls across team members, processes, and defects
. Create and sustain an environment that encourages flexibility and adaptability
. Partner with internal teams as necessary to resolve inquiries, address issues and close gaps
. Proactively anticipate and prevent service delivery issues and barriers, acting swiftly to engage appropriate resources, communicate/escalate in cases where service issues have occurred, be responsible for ensuring effective containment, remediation, root cause analysis, communication and implementation of preventative measures
. Cross train resources to ensure fungibility in capacity plans and for disaster recovery
. Foster strategic partnerships across the HR and GES leadership team management and internal counterparts in HR Technology, Finance, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS, Legal and Corporate Tax to deliver first class Payroll service
. Other duties as assigned
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
. 13+ years of operations experience with previous leadership responsibilities
. Strong leadership skills with proven ability to inspire/motivate employees in office or virtually
. Must have demonstrated strength with problem-solving and collaboration
. Ability to 'own' any issues or requests across teams and processes
. Ability to quickly absorb complex product, process, and employee experience information
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions, identify issues and trends and develop solutions and/or recommendations
. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
. Design and deliver metrics, root cause analysis, and implement remediation plans to address deficiencies and gaps
. Consistently looks for way to streamline or automate processes improving cycle times or employee experience
. Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud preferred
. Advanced skills with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Powerpoint
US Payroll Transitions, Vice President (603)
Global Employee Support (GES) is a team of 1300 who execute and support global HR activities and transactions for the 265,000+ employees of JPMorgan Chase working in 60 countries. The US Payroll Transitions team sits within the GES organization and is based in Bangalore, IN.
In this role, you and your team will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate resolution of payroll inquiries as well as making pay adjustments when employees experience a change in status that impacts pay. You will own the pay experience for employees at various critical points:
- Entry and exit a leave of absence
- Leave the firm via retirement or termination
- Transfer between legal entities or from one payroll to another (hourly to salaried)
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong service-orientation and ownership mentality, have demonstrated ability to problem-solve and analyze and motivate a team to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting both employees and payroll runs. You will be leading the team at a pivotal time as we just completed transition of our Payroll function to Oracle's HCM Cloud platform.
