The primary objective of the position is to drive LMPS CI processes in order to optimize the plant's performance and competitiveness. The position is also to promote the Lean strategy in his/her organization and carry out the organizational change to achieve financial objectives.Job Description
As a CI Manager . Train/mentor plant personnel in Lean principles.
- One piece flow
- 5S
- Standard work
- Kanban when applicable
- Pull systems vs push systems
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, opportunities
- Form cross functional teams (kaizen) to develop action plans
- Implement changes
- Monitor/track performance to sustain the gains
- Ensure 'Lean Principles' are utilized at all times
- Document and share with plants w/in and out of region
- Implement consistently across plants
- Visual tools and metrics to educate and communicate to the masses
- Track trends and verify sustained improvements
- Consistent across plants to allow best practices to be identified
- All metrics on shop floor tie to overall plant performance
- Train new employees during orientation
- Install procedures consistent with other plants
- Utilize lessons learned
