The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
- Senior Developer for time critical and highly visible regulatory data lake application to strategize and implement business commitments as well as maintaining and improving Live projects stability
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to remove technical debts and obsolescence at application infrastructure
Business
- Understand business purpose of user stories, and estimate development tasks to fulfil the story
- Work directly with product owners on technical stories and further define the details on how the story should be implemented
Processes
- Optimize application code for maximum speed and scalability
- Integrate software components and third-party codebase
- Enforce Technical processes, standards and best practices to the team
Risk Management
- Maintaining excellent relationships and communication with Global stakeholders, other IT teams, product and application owners, and vendors
- Attention to detail, and proactive communication with business, operations and support teams
- Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to changes
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group&rsquos Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Lead application development team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank&rsquos Conduct Principles
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

- Regulatory Operations, Support Operations and Distributed Architecture teams
Our Ideal Candidate
- Engineering Degree (BE/BTech) from reputed university with first class aggregate, in Computer Science/Information Technology discipline
- 10-12 years of relevant experience
- Excellent analystical skills and superior communication skills are must have for this role
- Prior experience in working in a leading bank is a plus
