EMPLOYEE / CONSULTANT REQUISITION - POSITION DESCRIPTION
Minimum Qualifications: (Specify if degree required & type, number of years of prior experience, certifications, etc.)
- 10&plus Years of experience in the enterprise application design, development, support, with 6 years of ETL experience using Big Data tools.
- Extensive Experience in Data Modeling, Data Integration, Reporting & Analytics, Reference Data, ETL & BI Tools, Data Quality concepts, Data Governance & Security
- Source code available on Git, Coding champion and so on.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree from top tier colleges with good grades.
- Logical thinking and reasoning, understanding capability and good communication is a must.
- Certifications in Agile & Waterfall Methodologies will be of great use
- People management responsibilities, should have handled a small team of 2 - 7.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for leading detailed design, end-to-end development (front-end and back-end)/unit testing and integration of applications
- Produce scalable and flexible, high-quality code that satisfies both functional and non-functional requirements
- Uses secure development best practices and design patterns
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Cross train team members for complete knowledge of technologies.
- Analyze and translate business requirements to technical design.
- Create security and data protection settings
- Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Collaborate/communicate with on-site project team and business users as required
- Design, develop, deploy, test and maintain technical assets in a highly secure and integrated enterprise computing environment
- Support functional testing and UI/UX testing
- Would need to lead teams on web applications development that would be interfacing with Big data and analytics platforms.
- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions .
- Hands on .Net coding experience with the ability to mentor and review the coding practices available.
- Ability to work on multiple product features simultaneously.
- They would be responsible for performance, security and stability of the application.
- Quick learner with ability to understand product's functionality end to end.
- Will be working closely with Hadoop admins and data analysts. Candidate will have to understand the business insight and translate it into ETL code and specify requirements to Hadoop admins for any Hadoop level changes
- The candidate will be developing and supporting ETL codes on spark written on python 2.7
- Will be working on gathering new requirements and implement it on home grown python tools
- Needs to Deep dive into spark internals and tuning.
- Knowledge on Data science tools as the candidate will be acting as consultant to data science teams for python coding.
- Opportunity to try out bleeding edge technologies to provide POC, which will be evaluated and put on use if approved.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- 3&plus years of experience in a full stack developer position with the ability to guide off-shore teams and interact with client teams on regular basis.
- 3&plus years of overall experience in Ionic/AngularJS, React front end frameworks, HTML, CSS used for development of responsive web applications.
- 5&plus years of overall experience in related to Spring Boot, Sprint Framework Spring Security, JUnit, Maven, Gradle, MySQL
- 5&plus years of experience in CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript (Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap, etc), JSON and XML data formats.
- Experience consuming web services (RESTful) using Java APIs and tools, such as SpringBoot
- Experience with both relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases, web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, design patterns and fundamental computer science concepts
- Experience working in Agile methodologies (SCRUM) environment and familiar with iterative development cycles.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization with OAuth and use of Single Sign On, SAML based authentication.
- Familiarity with common stacks
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) & back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
Good to Have
- Domain Expertise in US Healthcare Insurance.
- Experience on mobile application development
- Ability to work independently and as a team, also be able to design and handle deployment
- Ability to provide tactical and strategic solutions based on the stakeholder's/client's requirements.
- Willingness to work on both the development and support activities.
- Exposure to production support is an added advantage.
- Stack overflow account score
- Technical blogs & technical write-ups
- Flask/Django deployment experience
- Part of any open source contributions
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Should provide valuable insights on process improvements in the development lifecycle
- Impart training to the new team of Client, Product Support Analysts, NewHires & Test Analysts.
- Develop and mentor people and create a high performing organization (foster relationships, resolve conflicts, etc.) while developing and delivering performance feedback
- Should be experienced enough to figure the right technology for each type of deployment activities
