Job Description Summary
Responsible for developing and executing funding, liquidity and exposure management strategies for the enterprise. Includes debt issuance, alternative funding and investment management. Analyzes and manages the firm's liquidity positions and risks to provide for both regulatory and operational demands. Aggregates exposures, analyzes risks, develops strategies to address and manages related trade execution. In addition, responsible for treasury activities including cash management, creditor relations and capital planning. Treasury is the primary interface with investors in the firm's fixed income bonds and notes programs, and with the firm's bank network and other liquidity providers. Treasury staff also have responsibility for managing bank lines of credit, and the control and movement of the firm's cash and cash positions. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage GE Treasury Bank Relationships & maintain and increase committed credit facilities for GE & GECC. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Evaluates emerging regulatory guidelines.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  • Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work directly with banking partners, GE businesses, Bank Admin teams and related GE departments (like tax & legal) to ensure timely completion of open/close/modification of bank accounts and other related banking operational support (i.e. audit confirmations)
  • Support Treasury Infrastructure, Business Treasury and adjacent teams to enable bank accounts in systems
  • Support Bank Admin leader to track/resolve banking requests and drive results to meet targets
  • Develop consistent accurate metric reporting and effectively communicate to stakeholders
  • Develop report tracking aimed at meeting GE Initiatives
  • Work closely with the Bank Admin Leader and Bank Admin teams to develop strong controls, processes and procedures with adhered to GE policy
  • Ensure bank accounts are set up with proper functionality needed by the business with no re-work
  • Establish regular rhythm of communication and engagement at appropriate business levels to provide status of any pending requests and gather feedback
  • Ensure all proper controls per SOP are being followed to ensure accuracy of my bank reference data
  • Support banking administration activities related to divestitures and acquisitions
  • Lead and support other key projects allocated from time to time
  • Should maintain good relationship and communicate frequently regarding business related needs
  • Must have good decision-making skills with regards to operational decisions by recommending procedural changes etc. in line with the cash management policies
  • Maintenance of user access management workflow, support systems as needed
  • Drive process improvements & simplification initiatives to streamline the process, including upstream and downstream impacts
  • Support / Lead GE initiatives and adhoc projects

Required Qualifications
  • This role requires basic experience in the Finance & Bank Relations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Work experience specializing in bank account management and KYC
  • Internal Controls and/or Controllership related experience with demonstrated analytical, problem solving and data management skills
  • Excellent Excel / PowerPoint skills and should be comfortable with slicing and dicing the information to make meaningful metrics out of huge set of data with concise effective commentary
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong Communication skills and exhibit excellent professional ethics
  • Strong process execution and customer service mindset Ability to work pro-actively and independently, prioritize multiple tasks meeting tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas and develop new skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capacity to deal with high volumes of activity and handle issues during crisis or otherwise
  • Good project management experience with lean mindset
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be based in Chennai
  • Must be prepared to work in any shift supporting Americas/European business hours
