Desired Candidate Profile
Position Summary
Responsible for designing equipment, tooling, automation and generating supporting documentation as required. See projects thru the concept, design and release phase to implementation.
Job Duties
- Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in manufacturing methods to help keep the company on the leading edge
- Use CAD software for the design of equipment, tooling & automation required for assigned projects
- Act as technical contact for vendors and suppliers on tooling and equipment issues
- Help manage and make contributions to the development of new tools, automation equipment and productivity enhancements
- Perform engineering changes on new and existing equipment and tools
- Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance of equipment, tools and manufacturing cells
- Present and explain proposals for tooling and equipment during process review meetings.
- Provide technical oversight of projects through team meetings and other means.
- Monitor engineering aspects of tooling/equipment start-ups; ensure project start-up plans and required documentation are completed and coordinated with Operations and Maintenance Department personnel.
- Evaluating information and results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of Engineering experience. ( 1-2 years for entry level candidate )
- Engineering degree/diploma in an appropriate field preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles
- 3-5 years experience in an Engineering Department with direct responsibility for design of tooling and equipment ( 1-2 years for entry level candidate )
- CAD experience is a must. PTC Creo and Windchill experience would be beneficial
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
- Effective leadership skills required
Work Conditions:
- Some travel may be required
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Ability to physically implement designs
- Overtime as required
Education:
UG: Diploma - Mechanical, Engineering, B.Tech/B.E. - Automobile, Production/Industrial, Mechanical
