Job Description

Qualification Experience

  • More than 2 years of experience in on Automotive Electronics.
  • Responsible for reviewing and understanding customer requirements/ design requirements.
  • Electronic/Electrical Circuit Model/Simulation PSPICE, LTSPICE
  • HW analysis of safety-critical features like thermal strategy, cell balancing and monitoring, fault detection, and diagnostics on BMS
  • Strong fundamentals in design with microcontroller-based ECU
  • Exposure to communication protocols: I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, LVDS
  • Proficient in Component Selection, De-rating analysis, WCA and Simulations
  • Understanding of automotive functional safety standards: ISO26262
  • Technical Design Reviews : HW, PCB, Cross-functional
  • Design for EMI/EMC and certification experience including troubleshooting and resolving EMI/EMC issues.
  • Experience in Automotive product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in Analog and Digital Circuit design experience with OpAmps, Filters, Signal conditioning circuits, mixed signal design
  • Hands on experience with 16/32 bit microcontrollers selection, design and validation.
  • Needs through and in-depth understanding of PCB layout, EMI/ EMC, Grounding and Shielding.
  • Schematic and PCB layout experience, preferably with Mentor Graphics Dx-Designer and Expedition.
  • Familiar with standards like ISO-61851, SAE J1772, GB/T etc.
  • Writing and reviewing hardware requirement specifications and technical process document
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORs)
  • Working with the hardware design architects to drive specific hardware safety requirements
  • Familiarity with hardware failure rate calculation (FMEDA) experience using Siemens 29500 and/or IEC 62380 preferred
  • Analyze hardware with respect to diagnostic coverage and minimizing the risk of random hardware failure leading to safety goal violations.
  • Work closely with internal teams to support FMEDA and DFMEA reviews and to define technical hardware solutions to decrease the risk of safety failures.
  • Develop verification and validation test plan
  • Develop and maintain work products defined by the safety standards.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment including DMM, DSO, and function generator, programmable HV Power supply, Cell Emulator etc.
  • Must be able to debug electronic circuits and determine root cause of failures
  • Experience with thermal management for electrical circuits.
  • Support for Reliability Analysis and deriving FIT rates for hardware components
  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and global team members.
  • Well organized, have strong analytical and communication skills.
  • An excellent team player, Flexible attitude and willing to travel.
