Position Vacant :Marine Piping Lead (Detail Design)/ Assistant Manager - Piping
Job Description / Responsibilities
Job post demands a lead designer/engineer with dynamic personality to manage a team of young and talented engineers/designers/modelers to execute projects smoothly and deliver in time.
The job profile requires planning, scheduling, resource allocation and co-ordination with external parties.
It is required that candidate should have sound knowledge of 3D pipe and outfit modeling and generation of detailed level output related to Marine systems and Machineries.
A good exposure and knowledge of shipyard standards and know how of common shipyard practices followed in new-building and repair projects are essential.
The work will involve regular interaction with project manager, department manager, client, shipyard. A good communication skill and sound technical knowledge is desired.
The responsibility also extends to Team management - Building the capability of the team by carrying regular training and supporting the recruitment process.
Establish and implement good work practice in department.
Ship Machinery system 3D modeling and Detail Design :-
Guide engineers/designers for pipe routing, equipment placement
3D Modeling of Equipment, Piping, Outfitting, Electrical items
Generate fabrication drawings
Generate BoM and other reports
Prepare layout drawings
Carry out 3D model review
Project execution and follow-ups
Qualification
B.E. Mechanical or Marine Engineer or Equivalent
Min.Exp.
10 years and above in Marine/Ship/Equipment.
MUST be around 3-5 years of exp in 'leading' a team in Cadmatic software based projects.
