US MNC : Deputy Manager / Manager (Planning) @ MumbaiDepartment: Supply Chain
Reports To : BU Head
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for Production Planning & Control & Stores
Education & Experience:
B.E Mechanical/Production/Electronics/Electrical with experience of 12+ Yrs (with minimum 5-6 Years of experience) in Production Planning & control function in mass manufacturing industry , MBA preferred
Candidates should be from product manufacturing background with high mix (both at RM & FG) & medium to high volume. We do not want candidates from make-to-stock kind of industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly production plan & collaborate with Manufacturing team for execution of the same
Do capacity analysis & ensure optimum utilization of capacities
Collaborate with Sales/PLM to analyze sales forecast for providing long term visibility
Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure on time delivery to customers
Ensure optimum inventory requirements are generated based on sales orders & forecast to achieve on Time Delivery, Productivity, Inventory Targets & Minimize E&O
Coordinate with Purchase team for long term material visibility & timely escalation in case of challenges
Ensure monthly/Quarterly revenue targets are met as per budget & timely escalation to BU head in case of challenges
Continuously evaluate the existing planning processes for identification of inefficiencies & set up stronger processes
Drive planning team to ensure kitting of material to feed the production lines for optimum capacity utilization
Manage Stores Function through Daily Management
MIS Reporting Weekly & Monthly MIS Reports on deliverables planned
Analyze data critically to resolve issues & provide countermeasures wherever targets are not met
Functional Competencies:
Conversant with Lean Manufacturing & Supply Chain tools
Working Knowledge / expertise of ERP (preferably Oracle)
Should have exposure to Supermarket concept & should be proficient in Kanban principles
Working proficiency in usage of MS-Office Tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Well conversant with ISO Procedure

Internal: Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Stores & Engineering
External: Customers
