Job Description

checking in guests, allocating rooms and handing over keys. answering questions about hotel facilities and about local transport, places of interest and entertainment. dealing with special requests, such as room service, taxi bookings or wake-up calls. passing on messages to guests and taking mail for posting.
Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately. Notifies company personnel of visitor arrival. Maintains security and telecommunications system. Informs visitors by answering or referring inquiries. Receptionists should have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills. They spend most of their time dealing with a wide variety of guests and visitors. This means that they have to interact with people who have different personalities and behaviors.
