We are looking for Senior Engineer/Engineer Simulation and OLP for a reputed Automation company based at Bangalore.
Job Objective:
- To work along with Simulation and OLP team, in order to achieve the said targets and objectives of the department, and help the team lead in Planning and Mentoring.
- In addition, to help Automation Service business unit in able to achieve its revenue and profitability targets, by proper planning and Utilisation of resource and Equipment, to avoid wastages.
- Inculcate and practice best methods of innovative workmanship.
- Follow Safety and Factory standards as set by the Customer.
Job Description:
- Support simulation team as a resource.
- Supervise and mentor new and junior employees on various projects.
- Implement the best practices in Process Study, Validation and OLP generation from time to time.
- Prepare and setup virtual library for Simulation software, case studies and training ppts.
- For applications that are, more advanced and involving critical process study, develop a structured approach for modularity, ease of use by end-user.
- Focus on spick and span documentation for installation team.
- Develop and implement new tools to widen the scope of Simulation applications.
- Develop techniques at simulation end to reduce commissioning time at site.
- Carry out pre-process study with sales team, to quote better (pre-sales activity).
- Achieve critical cycle time, process improvements and quality parameters during process study and validation.
- Develop tools /concepts to ease simulation work for your team assigned.
Continuously upgrade knowledge of:
- 2D/3D vision systems (fundamental concepts and how the frame calculations are carried out internally must be understood thoroughly)
- Latest robotic applications such as: servo hemming, sealing, laser welding/ brazing, cleaning and pipe bending applications.
- Robot calibration methods.
- Structured programming methods functional blocks, error handling, etc.
- Latest developments in robotics like dual arm robots, human robot cooperation, robot emulation, medical robots etc.
- Latest technology updates in the field of robotics and simulation softwares by attending seminars, webinars and exhibitions.
Key Skills
- Robot operation/programming/ trouble shooting/ maintenance.
- Familiarity with basics of AutoCAD, Pro E, Solid Works.
- Should possess good Presentation Skills.
- Communication Skills Vocal and Written, should be excellent.
- Robotics and automation experience for various applications and industries
- Ability to read and understand layout drawings
- Ability to communicate concepts with sketches and drawings
- Robotic process exposure to BiW processes and General Automation applications (spot welding, sealing, hemming), Arc Welding, Machine Tending and Material Handling. - Any other process knowledge is an added advantage.
- Basic control systems knowledge (PLC, communication protocols, I/Os, etc.).
- Should have a good knowledge on automation safety standards.
- Awareness of various customer standards
- Robot operation/programming is an added advantage
- Should adopt to Technical communication parameters.
Experience
- 2 to 8 years Simulation and Process Engineering experience in Automation/manufacturing organisation.
- Actual hands-on experience of simulation with one or many reputed make of softwares (RobCAD, Delmia (D5/V5), CimStation Robotics, Process Simulate, Robotstudio, Roboguide, MotoSim, KukaSim)
- Minimum of 1-year experience with any Industrial Robot onsite programming.
- Frequent travel & Deputation to customer sites is must.
- On-site commissioning work is planned for any location - within India and overseas.
- Should be ready for long-term on-site and Offline project requirements.
- Shift Based working at customer sites and office is expected.
- Frequent meetings with customers to study/understand requirements is expected
- Should attend exhibitions and technical seminars
- Must be able to respond to customer needs with quick turn-around time and be able to work within tight deadlines
- Overseas travel is also part of the job description.
