Proactive BA - BPI

BASIC FUNCTION:

To provide techno-functional support for the production performance team of Automation Solution System Delivery. Responsible for leading proactive performance improvement initiatives which will require collaboration with various internal and external groups to investigate, understand and document the functionality of new and existing Oracle EBS components as well as recommend and implement new initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be part analyze system performance, identify and work on improving the overall performance of Oracle components in production instance used by Emerson Automation Solutions. The candidate will also provide recommendations during development and ensure that programmers are adhering to the set performance and quality standards.

  • Proactively identify performance improvement opportunities (from process, functional or technical) and lead the effort to implement those
  • Provide guidance to other developers on how to avoid performance issues.
  • Support production with any performance problem by detection, resolution and deterrence.
  • Provide knowledge and expertise in Oracle Application programming related activities.
  • Proactive EBS application tuning with focus on functional setup, data cleansing and business process improvements
  • Mange and drive all proactive business process performance engagements
  • Proactively monitor production to identify candidates for long term application performance improvements
  • Project manage all proactive application improvement action items and produce progress and measurement reports to management
  • Working with own team members as well as other teams to establish process and build knowledge base
  • Provide functional support for tuning team and performance testing team
  • Perform functional and performance impact review and approval for project stage gates and change management process involving key EBS components, such as base table triggers, high frequency CM jobs, large data migrations etc

SKILLS, QUALIFICAITONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Programming Skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Forms and Workflow.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle 11i Applications EBS (technical or functional)
  • Practical knowledge and experience with standard Oracle development tools such as Toad, Trace and TKProf, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Menus and Responsibilities, SQL Loader and others.
  • Good communication skills using English, both spoken and written.
  • Practical Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Functional experience and detailed understanding of Oracle EBS OM, INV, PO, Adv Pricing, Configurator, WIP, and BOM
  • Have a strong working technical knowledge of the Oracle 11i E-Business Suite including Oracle Reports, Forms and PL/SQL
  • Self-motivated dynamic leader who can work across areas and who can own a process end to end
  • Experience with gathering user requirements and understanding and interpreting requirements specifications
  • Have solid analytical and problem solving skills

EDUCATION

  • BS with a technical background (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering)
