Job Description

Objective of the role:

The person in this role will be responsible for acquiring/on-boarding large clients in the space of Logistics and supply chain for last mile, mid mile services, E-commerce, document digitization, warehousing, document management systems, data center services. targeting and on-boarding, new clients by bidding for Government and PSUs tenders, using networking, cold calling/visits, advertising or other means that will generate business. He/she will create & execute go to market strategy that will help win business for the company.


Key Responsibilities

New Business Development from B 2 B (Business to Business)

  • Understanding client requirements, solutions/product offerings that can help in growing their business particularly in the logistics & supply chain, DMS, Digitization, warehouse services, SAAS Sales, Cloud Offerings and IT Sales (Software and Data center services).
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn it into increased business
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Cold call as appropriate within defined market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Having regular connects with potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging existing Client network.
  • Identify potential decision makers within the client organization, scheduling meetings/appointments, presentation, & making a sales pitch for companys service offerings.
  • Develop new Sales Strategies, approaches and pitches along with his/her team.
  • Build and create business proposal for any new/prospective client basis their requirements, concerns, and objectives.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Participate & negotiate all business opportunities with the prospect client for enhancing business avenues.
  • Present an image of his/her organization that mirrors with client culture.
  • Identify opportunities through Online Marketing campaigns, client references and other networking channels, which will lead to an increase in business.

New Business Development from B2 G (Business to Government)

Key responsibilities of this role is to expert in entire government tendering process starting form creation of tenders, applying it and winning for the organization.

  • Participate in govt. & public sector undertakings tenders/ EOIs & participating in pre bid meetings and finalizing the tender documents and submission thereof.
  • Applying new tenders published across the nation and close.
  • Expert in cultivating new relationship and deeper engagement with Government machinery and PSU for new business opportunities.
  • New Business development, existing client retention and upselling existing and upcoming product and services. Ensuring payments from the existing clients.


Client Retention & Revenue enhance from existing clients

Present new services offerings to enhance existing relationships.

  • Work closely with Account management & Operations team to address customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  • Ensuring timely payment collection from the clients.


Education& Professional Experience

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Business administration (Preferably in Sales & Marketing)
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in leading sales for logistics services, ITES Technical product or Service.
  • Should have excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Should have Strong team working, Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Public Speaking, research, flair for writing & close looping Skills.
  • Should have good communication, selling and negotiation skills.
  • Organized, detail oriented and strong time management skills
  • Excellent people and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to strike discussion & negotiation with CXOs.
  • Should be able to work in a fast- paced & target-driven environment.
  • Should be abreast with the business trends/market opportunities in the space
  • Should be smart enough to build business proposal for any new/prospective client basis their requirements, concerns, and objectives.
  • Should be aligned to company's vision &goals.
