Description
Hybrid Cloud
Responsibilities
- Candidate must have worked on Transformation and Transition projects
- Exposure to Transformation and Transition methodologies is required
- Design of cloud solutions (public and private) to meet clients business and (or) technical requirements following DXCs standard processes and architecture methodologies.
- Development of cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.
- Oversees application architecture and deployment in cloud environments - including public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud.
- Work on leading-edge projects to architect infrastructure solutions for various applications using technologies offered by the hyper scalers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Engage with on-site vendors on a need basis. Degree and scope of engagement with vendors will depend on the project.
- Work on the solution design, architecture and development of customer capabilities and solutions
- Provide direction and guidance on solution designs and work closely with the development and implementation teams for solution delivery
- Collaborate with product and project managers, other architects and developers to define architectural standards, define deliverables and project estimates
- Engage with DXCs various lines of services (LoS) and center of excellences (CoE) throughout the architecture design phase and lead the development of the technical solution.
- Work with internal and external clients located in different time zones namely in Europe, North America and Asia.
- Documentation of architecture design to various levels of detail using the prescribed templates and standards.
- Client presentations.
- Work as an individual contributor.
- Preparation of bill of materials for solutions developed.
- Design of Conceptual, Logical and Physical Technology Models
Cloud Technology Skills
Primary Skills: Cloud technologies
Experience on VMware SDDC, vCloud Director, vCentre Server
Experience in Azure, AWS
Experience in designing solutions for hybrid cloud
Experience in designing, architecting vRealize Automation
Experience in designing solutions around VMware Family and NSX
Secondary Skills
Experience in designing solutions around enterprise class network and server management solutions such as SCCM, vRealize Operations (vROPS), HP Openview, and IBM Tivoli
Experience in designing solutions for external facing services using Web servers, Proxy servers, Load balancers, Firewalls etc.
Experience in designing infrastructure solutions around Hyper-Converged HP, Dell EMC, IBM server platforms.
Experience in designing infrastructure solutions for databases, D/R solutions around databases Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, DB2 etc.
Secondary Skills/Desirable: Storage and Backup
Experience in designing enterprise class storage network solutions around technologies like SAN, NAS, iSCSI and products like Dell EMC Symmetrix DMX, VMAX, Centera
Experience in designing backup solutions like TSM, IBM Networker, HPE DataProtector, Symantec NetBackup for heterogeneous server platforms (Windows, UNIX, IBM OS/390 etc.) in On-premise Virtual and Physical environments, Public and Private Cloud
Other Mandatory Skills
- Good communication skills (Written and Oral).
- Good inter personal skills to manage clients / customers.
- Flexible and adaptable in meeting global delivery requirements.
- The candidate should be aware and have good knowledge of project management and project lifecycle.
- Aptitude and desire to learn
Experience
Minimum 12 years of experience in core IT technologies and at least 5 years of experience in Virtualization and Cloud architecture with a good completion track record.
Other Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Certifications
- Presales experience

- AWS/Azure Certification
- TOGAF Certification
