Senior Test Lead - Hyderabad / Secunderabad @ Cotiviti

Working in an agile software development environment, the Test lead should lead the Automation efforts for strategic product initiatives/enhancements which require collaboration with application development teams to understand the scope, Data challenges, Test coverage . and develop Test automation framework to ensure the quality and increase the speed. These frameworks allow us to perform end-to-end, regression testing in multi-component environments. He/She will be working with automation test engineers to develop automation for functional/regression test cases, maintain/develop a reusable architecture/framework for the test automation. Mentoring team members to come up with Innovative ideas/solutions to increase the test coverage and ensure built-in quality of Products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for building strong handshake process between Application delivery team and Automation team for Leveraging Automation for Successful delivery of new product initiatives and enhancements , Product migrations .
• Bridge any gaps and differences between the automation and Functional QAs and in order to form a clean two-way interface channel.
• During the Testing Cycle, monitor the test progress by constantly assessing the work assigned to each of the resources and re-balance or re-allocate them as required.
• Check if there might be any delays in achieving the Regression/Progression schedule and hold discussions with testers, SMEs to figure out the issues that they may be facing and strive hard to resolve them.
• Present the timely status to the stakeholders & management and instill confidence about the work being done.
• Identify and anticipate Risks and come up with Mitigation plans
• She/He must be able to identify the required metrics and work to have them in place. These metrics should give the sense of how teams are performing sprint over sprint in terms of quality speed and throughput.
• Participate in Daily Stand-up Calls, works closely with the Scrum master to know the deliverables and commitments of each Release/Sprint, coordinates with all the Automation team members to clear the impediments for progression.
• Create Test Automation Scripts as per Test scenarios/cases by following Automation Standards and make sure that 100% Automation Code coverage is followed with respect to the test scenario/case functionality.
• Monitors the adherence to Automation Coding standards in development and able to produce quantifiable metrics to measure success; ensures test deliverables are prepared per enterprise guidelines for Automation team.
• Maintains an understanding of test Automation Methodologies, and process. Be a champion for Test Automation within QA organization.
• Provide coaching and guidance to the Automation Team on best practices. Responsible for reviewing the code and document the review comments.
• Produce a POC report on any new Automation Tool and come with new ideas to improve the automation coverage for projects.
• Create and maintain Automation Approach, Coding Standards and Code Review Process
• Define Test Automation best practices, Framework approach for Selenium/Java/BDD/Cucumber or any Open Source (Selenium Web Driver) based automation.
• Implement and encourage Automation team on follow test Driven Development in alignment to AGILE process.

OTHER RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn and implement new tools/programming languages to support automation for Applications that are developed in Futuristic Technologies.
• Work with Development Teams to implement Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Work with DEVOPS team for Continuous Integration and Delivery to support the build deployments; implement/improve build test processes, environments, and scripts. The build tests ensure that the code drops to QA environment are of the highest quality.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Masters or bachelor in engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.
• 10 + years experience in IT services and Having experience Testing with a solid understanding of overall Software Quality assurance processes
• Experience in driving testing efforts for strategic initiatives/projects.
• Experience working and collaborating with stakeholders for faster and quality testing deliverables.
• Good understanding of Scrum Methodology, Code Quality, Continuous Integration and Unit Testing.
• Hands on experience to drive quality automation, strong testing practices and self- service culture.
• Should be able to implement Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Should be Automation savvy to accomplish the desired results.
• Exposure in working with different group of people (Software Architects, Developers, Dev ops) to enable continuous integration of automation execution for continuous delivery.
• Proficient with test/agile management tools HP ALM, RALLY and JIRA is desired.
• Highly organized with the ability to strike a good balance between technology and business needs.
• Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information.
