Job location - Mumbai / Pune / Goa for a reputed International Freight Forwarding Company.

Looking candidate from Global freight forwarding organisation with Export - Sales background.

Graduate with 3 to 8 years of same industry experience.

Budget : Upto 4.00 8.00 Lacs as per experience.

Job description :

  • Responsible for overall business development (forwarding Air and Sea, trucking, Heavy haulage, CHA , 3PL etc.)
  • Generating regular leads for various Products/division (Pharma/Engineering/Textil/RMG/Retail/Consumer Goods).
  • Generation of Inbound and Outbound air and sea cargo from various origins and different destinations.
  • Meeting new and existing clients in designated area, understanding their logistics needs and then provide a complete cost- effective solution of their requirements.
  • Support sales team in business growth by regularly visiting existing and new customers and targeting their cross functional business.
  • Monthly/Quarterly reviews with customer to gain confidence/ volumes.
  • Coordination with sales support staff and customer -support departments to ensure best of the services to the customers.
  • To ensure timely collection of payments from the customers.
  • Ensure all the billing files are timely shared with Accounts team and support in collection of overdue o/s payments by following up with customers.
  • Act as front end to all the customer issues and ensure regular operational support for all the business handled.
  • Generate MIS as per the business need for the customer and Management.
  • Liaison with overseas office and seeking their support for important customers.
  • In addition to freight forwarding, selling all other products i.e. Export/Imports (Custom Clearance), warehousing, transport etc.
  • EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: Graduate or MBA in any discipline from an Institution of reputed.

  • Ability to deliver in face of ambitious deadlines.
  • Technology Savvy
  • KNOWLEDGE:
  • Basic computer, internet & MS office knowledge.
  • Good understanding of products, policies & procedures.
  • Essential skill set required
  • An effective salesman who is familiar with the functional knowledge of freight forwarding product
  • Should be logical and analytical in approach.
  • Experience in Managing Bids & RFQs for Larger Customer
  • Proven track record in commercial decision-making ability
  • Client analysis on gross Margin, volume, and Productivity
