Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Operations:

  • Provide leadership for client specific Procurement Operations activities
  • Supervise a team of 60+ resources involved in Procurement Operations.
  • Ensure that services are provided within assigned timelines, take necessary action to address any issues
  • Providing leadership to the team, talent retention (meeting attrition targets) people capacity building
  • Responsible to drive tools & technologies implemented
  • Strive to drive change and streamline processes to reduce inefficiencies throughout the process
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • To be accountable for maintaining quality and service standards to support the overall Client(s) relationship and to deliver continuous improvement
  • Conduct Purchase Requisition quality check: For complex PR / complex categories check PR information against given templates to determine completeness and compliance of PR
  • Interface directly with clients, must have excellent communication skills
  • Ensure Service level agreements are met
  • Evaluate the performance of the team and provide feedback
  • Identify training requirements for the team and enhance the skill set
  • Address quality issues and implement methodologies to improvise quality
  • Quality compliance & adherence to procurement process & procedures set by the organization
  • Should have experience in documenting procurement processes in the form of SOPs/DTPs
  • Experience in data analysis is a required skill

Transition:

  • Responsible for transition planning
  • Ensure operational readiness for the facilities to be transitioned
  • Seamless execution of transition, acting as a bridge between facility, US team and buyers

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Good interpersonal skills (need to be able to build relationships over the phone without meeting suppliers / customers on a regular basis)
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers
  • Procurement and analytical background
  • Total experience of minimum 10 years of which minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement or related fields & minimum 5 years in the role of a manager or assistant manager
  • User knowledge of database applications (Preferred)
  • ERP experience is a must (Preferable Lawson)
  • Strong MS office applications, SQL knowledge will be an added advantage
