Job Description

Business Analyst Job Description:-

POSITION SUMMARY:


Participates in the development of functional or operational requirements; tests and trains users on applications with guidance from more experienced colleagues.

Interfaces with all areas of IT on behalf of the business to resolve IT matters and improve business processes. Have understanding of Payments i.e MT103, MT202. Local clearing settlements and ISO20022 familiarities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Includes percentage of time spent over an average month or year on each responsibility - minimum percentage 10%)


  • Coordination with cross functional team, stakeholders and business leaders
  • Uses defined or documented processes to collect and define requirements from businesses or functional areas.
  • Provides data-driven recommendations and reports to business
  • Facilitate Training and Guidance to Technical Team
  • Writing Scope Document
  • Writing Business Requirement Document, User Stories/ Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria

  • Works with users and peers on planning, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications.
  • Uses knowledge of business needs to provide design support to software and application development teams.

20%

  • Participates in process improvement reviews and summarizes business issues and client feedback for team's review.

  • Assists with training of users on new or enhanced applications and/or systems.

  • Supports testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems.
  • Tasks include case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution.
  • Monitors Project Performance, conducts meetings to share idea and to discuss the issues, gives Product demos and ensures timely completion of the tasks.

  • Uses basic knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology.

Qualifications Requirement:-

  • A bachelors degree (preferably full time)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Ability to create reports and give presentations
  • Planning and time management skills
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience required in BA & Payments
