Job Description
The Red Hat Specialist Solutions Architecture team is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect with relevant experience and focus on cloud platforms and storage to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will work closely with account executives and account solutions architects to achieve emerging technology sales and revenue goals, evaluate technical requirements of new sales opportunities, and develop technical solutions that can successfully meet the needs of our prospective customers. You will promote our innovative cloud platform solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization, and Red Hat Cloud Suite. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, youll need to have a combination of customer-facing skills and deep technical knowledge because you will serve as a customer advocate within Red Hat to develop appropriate solutions and ensure that they are implemented in an innovative and reliable way.
What you will do- Partner with sales specialists and account solutions architects across India or South Asia and serve as a technical point of contact for customer opportunities
- Ensure that revenue quota, deployment, and service objectives are met while maintaining a high level of satisfaction among our existing and prospective customers
- Develop and implement cloud platform sales strategies to help ensure that Red Hats objectives are met
- Present Red Hats solutions and technical proposals to existing and prospective customers
- Gather requirements and analyze solutions architecture and design; present solutions to meet customer needs through workshops and other activities
- Research and write responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposal (RFPs)
- Lead and deliver presales workshops, demonstrations, proof of concepts, evaluations and benchmarks
- Work directly with Red Hat Cloud Suite solutions
- Contribute to the teams efforts by sharing knowledge, documenting customer success stories, helping maintain the team lab environment, and participating in subject matter expert team initiatives
- Participate in trainings for our offerings and complete ongoing continuing education requirements to grow and enhance your skills
- Collaborate with the Engineering, Product Management, Global Partner Success (GPS), Global Learning Services (GLS), and other teams to provide information, presentations, demos, and solutions and provide crucial feedback for our offerings
- 5 years of experience with Linux and Windows system administration, integration, or development
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenStack Platform
- Experience working with virtualization technologies or a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification
- Advanced knowledge of the container platform and technology, Red Hat Virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), Linux, and Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of networking and complex software integration
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions
- Direct experience in product installation, configuration, and integration to lead and execute proofs of concepts, proofs of technology, and pilots
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable giving presentations
- Proficient customer-facing skills up to C-level executives
- Practical skills in and experience managing and delivering proofs of concepts or proofs of technology
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hats COVID-19 guidelines
