Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensures the implementation of infection control protocols e.g. compliance to universal precaution, waste segregation, hand hygiene, handling devices etc.
• Tracking & analyzing of infection rate data.
• Daily surveillance and monitoring of infection control practices, recommend corrective actions and isolation precautions, escalate when required.
• Communication to Public Health Department of notifiable diseases.
• Trains/demonstrates IC protocols to staff during rounds and through classroom sessions.
• Daily tracking of infection control related clinical indicators and outcome measures, report variance to Infection Control Officer.
• Culture and sensitivity reports.
• Reporting of variance in infection control practices and taking corrective action where necessary.
• Product selection in view of infection control practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

BSc Nursing / GNM ; Experience - 03 years minimum experience in infection control
