As aTechnical Leadin Cloud Operations, you will be responsible for driving and delivering technical solutions and the governance of team processes based on industry best practice and principles. The Technical Lead is ultimately accountable for driving automation practices, quality of technical work performed by the team, solution design, engineering output and end to the end life cycle of initiatives that ensure product delivery.
Technical Lead is a mentor and guide to our engineers and is accountable for the overall output quality. He/She will contribute to and influence the overall Cloud Operations & Cloud Engineering capability ensuring wemeet theDevOps requirementsof our Technology Strategy.
This role is critical in maintaining the quality and availability of our production cloud solutions. Responsibilities:
As ahands-on Technical Lead/Architect for multiple Cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms, you will be responsible for architecting, planning and delivery of the technical solutions.
Provide leadership to the team of developers and testers to ensure quality standards are met along with the agreed timeframes and budget.
Accountable for architecting the required solution based on business requirements for performance, usability, security, scalability and uptime SLAs.
Designing and architecting based on the good practice that is fit-for-purpose for the SaaS platforms ensuring the short-term gains dont compromise long-term objectives.
Implementation of the proactive controls (e.g. alerting and monitoring) of all Cloud-based solutions in order to scale as required to minimise down-time.
Be a mentor the team members on good practices, QA, supporting processes and technologies that are required to keep platforms continuously improving, secure and scalable.
Identifying automation opportunities throughout the SDLC.
Work with the project manager to estimate and plan stories for the sprints. Identify risks and issues ahead of time and communicate with the project stakeholders accordingly. Requirements:
Effectively managing the complexity through open verbal and written communication, logical documentation and attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
A strong focus on business outcomes
Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
Genuine inquisitive and persistent in nature upon discovering a potential problem, wont stop investigating until they fully understand it.
Experienced in effectively managing the complexity through open verbal and written communication, logical documentation and attention to detail.
Advanced-level user of Jira, Confluence and other project and team management tools.
Experienced in working with diverse and geographically dispersed project teams, technology stakeholders at all levels.
Hands-on experience in end-to-end SDLC including but not limited to: Requirements gathering and analysis, solution research and discovery, estimating, analysis of risks and issues, and post-go-live bug fixes and support.
Establishing and continuously improving DevOps practices and team adherence to expected quality.
Experienced in effectively managing the complexity through open verbal and written communication, logical documentation and attention to detail. Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in the software industry
AWS and DevOps certifications
Knowledge in Web Technologies (Python / Javascript / PHP / HTML / XML).
Knowledge of Messaging, Middleware Integration Protocols, n-tier architecture, SOA
Knowledge in MySQL & Aurora an added advantage.
Knowledge of SDLC concepts & ISO9001 processes.
An advanced-level user of Jira, Confluence and other project and team management tools.
Experience in dealing with overseas ( UK, US or Australian ) clients Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering, Information Technology or equivalent. - Desirable
AWS and DevOps certifications - Desirable
