BUSINESS ANALYST
About the Team:

Digital Consulting and Innovation Group (DCIG) within Aspire systems is a team focused on working with the customers in various capacities to help and enable them achieve their transformation goals. This team comprises of Consultants, Business Analysts, UX experts and UI designers. The business analysts are a key part of DCIG group and they work on different projects across the verticals/domains.
About the role:
The Business Analyst should work with business owners/project stakeholders to gather requirements as well as create, maintain and communicate the Product Roadmap. The Business Analyst works closely with the development team to break down the roadmap and ensures that it is clearly communicated and requirements are well defined. The BA is also expected to utilize/leverage best practices from the DCIG group and bring itinto the project thereby ensuring there is alignment between expectations and BA deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements gathering - ensure all objectives are clear, with well-defined acceptance criteria; responsible for documentation, organization, and communication of requirements to the development team
  • Feature and task prioritization - backlog ownership, grooming, and management; build out, maintain, and track milestones in order to meet the expectations.
  • Expected to learn the domain, features, and functionality of the product to optimally manage the team.
  • Client communication work directly with customers to understand requirements, walk through user stories or future state features, get sign off, explain different scenarios and solution options and great written communication skills for documentation.
  • Organize, facilitate, and manage meetings or JAD sessions with the client.
  • Timesheet tracking and management.
  • Iteratively work toward making teams more efficient in understanding the requirements.
  • Work on wireframes/work with UI teams for creating wireframes.
  • Document user flows and system flow diagrams.
  • Manage scope and ensure any change requests/new enhancements are following the proper channels to avoid scope creep.
  • Assist in UAT testing and conducting training/customer training or walkthrough sessions

Skills Required:

  • Bachelors Degree required in Computer Science, Digital Commerce, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of working in IT projects as a Senior Business Analyst or Product Owner.
  • Experience in running JAD sessions or workshops with customer to elicit requirements.
  • Good in coming up with solutions for business challenges and ability to improvise on the go.
  • Strategic thinker with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive in following up with various cross functional stakeholders to get sign offs and other information as needed
  • Strong in analysing problems, data, systems and identifying gaps/pain points.
  • Good in research skills to bring in industry norms/industry typical solutions/features for the project/product development.
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work directly with customers and technical team located across different geographies.
  • Understanding of software development process and technologies, including SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies with more focus on Agile.
  • Experience working on tools like JIRA/confluence/VISIO/Draw.io and other wireframing tools.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills withextreme attention to detail
  • Sufficient level of technical understanding to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively.
  • Ability to work in aggressive/fast moving projects.
  • Prior experience on estimating work items, providing timeline estimates and budgeting/pre-sales exposure.
  • Ability to influence and drive stakeholders towards sign off.
  • Ability to handle scope changes or changes in requirement through appropriate negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Certifications on Agile preferred. Eg. CSPO etc.
