Roles and Responsibilities:
- To protect the exposure and risks arising from merchant acquisition by assessing potential merchants for recruitment within the confines of the Credit Policy.
- Analyze a variety of supplementary information and data contained in the merchant application, E.g. financial accounts, acquirer statements.
- Seek additional information from Seller, communicating requirements in a clear and concise manner.
- Calculate potential exposure.
- Produce sound commercial risk decisions within allocated DP and make recommendations where outside DP.
- Determine deposit/collateral amounts.
- Ensure day-to-day operational process is consistent, correctly done and fully documented.
- Liaise with, and promote/maintain good working relationships with other risk and operations teams.
- Accompany Field Sellers on potential high risk merchant visits, being able to clearly explain the risk associated with each particular business.
- Liaise with merchants and Bank Relationship Managers where necessary.
- Produce timely, accurate and meaningful Management Information, which are also maintained correctly.
- Develop an understanding of job content, systems and operational procedures of the other Risk teams.
