Job Description


What will you contribute
Operations Analyst is responsible for the Operational Processing of various banks & credit unions and providing continuous support for balancing, reject and code line repair. Operational Process includes daily database backup operations, ACH reconciliation, OV report and restores, Application Monitoring Operations and Application Services-corrective Actions & preventive actions. Ensures all requests are being appropriately facilitated and that operational services are being provided in an effective and efficient manner
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
  • Analyze & verify process transaction data, identify mismatches, track defects from detection to resolution and works to resolve defects.
  • Collaboration with internal teams as well as with the remote agents for the operational service
  • Build and maintain working relationships with project team members and co-workers to successfully complete projects and assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work with applications on Unix, OpenVMS systems and data management which supports cloud platform used for data backup and recovery, cloud and infrastructure management, retention and compliance. Monitoring operations to make sure that application problems are discovered as quickly as possible.
  • Deep dive into specific process areas to identity errors. Undertake data gathering, root cause analysis exercises and work with peers to clearly define key improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze process models as they are (As-is). Document and compare them to the future and improved designs and work with wider support teams to determine the plan/approach for reaching the improved state.
  • Collate data metrics/feedback on process compliance and effectiveness. Use detailed analysis to provide measurable data on process performance and highlight potential process improvement initiatives.
  • Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts. Measures performance against process requirements.
  • Effectively participates as a team player in planning, scheduling, and production.
  • Utilizes the time management tool/web based database to ensure all time and materials are billed correctly, project instructions and client interactions are fully documented.
  • Work closely with project requester personnel via email, phone, and in person to collect information needed to complete the project
  • Define project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep track of project tasks and status using SharePoint/other management software
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • May cross-train in additional process disciplines to provide flexibility during peak times.

Required Experience:
  • Strong analytical skill, ability to identify and solve problems proactively.
  • Basic knowledge in UNIX commands.
  • Proficiency in using standard project and business tools including Control-M, MS Office desktop applications, Power Point and SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines.
  • Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information
