Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Dear Professional,Greetings from BVR Consulting!! We are looking expertise in Pharma API R&DSynthesis for leading pharma company at Chennai.Location Chennai, India
Summary of Job:
- To develop and produce cost-effective, non-infringing, safe and eco-friendly technologies for the synthesis of APIs and intermediates.
- To be responsible for leading a team of 3 to 4 Chemists, and timely delivery of projects involving complex chemistry.
- To execute development projects, involving route scouting, feasibility and screening, process development / optimization and scale up as per the project scope / requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for robust manufacturing process development for Generic APIs and intermediates
- Responsible for the safe working of the team in a laboratory environment.
- To be precisely aware of the project scope and scope changes.
- To guide and supervise a team of scientists, in the following aspects:
- o Designing process research & development experiments.
- o Experiment and analysis planning.
- o Generation of all required data.
- o Drawing inference from the analytical results.
- o Adoption of new technologies to solve problems and accelerate delivery.
- o Compile the data and prepare weekly project updates, process development reports, Tech Transfer documents, TDR etc.
- o Interaction with AR&D, Process Engineers and Production team
- o Participate in all tech Transfer activities.
- o To prepare the RMC and scope for the new inquiry and present to the Head-CTD
Support for transformations in synthetic organic chemistry aimed at target molecules from R&D scale to plant scale.
Good skills in interpretation of NMR, Mass spectra,, IR, GC, HPLC and XRD.
Optimizing the process by considering the yield, quality, cost and safety operations of the process.
Data generation for DMF filing of final APIs.
Preparation of Process Development Report/TTD to transfer technology to pilot plant.
Impurity impact on process, identification & synthesis
Qualification M.Sc. in Organic chemistry, from a reputed university.
Experience 12 to 20 years of experience in the pharma industry, preferably Cephalosporin APIs,
Ideal candidate should have handled the team of at least 3 scientists.
