Software Configuration Management Executive @ Bloomont Solutions

Roles & Responsibilities-

Gather information on requirements related to configuration management from development team and develop a configuration management plan for assigned projects.
Maintains a repository of configuration items for projects and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Reports the progress of the Configuration Management effort including status of project software builds, deployments, and environments.
Identifies any issues in assigned projects during the lifecycle of that project and plans and executes the resolution of those issues, usually with the supervision of management /Team Lead/Project Lead.
Defines and documents Configuration management best practices and guidelines. Gathers feedback from project teams and metrics for Configuration management processes and guidelines and identifies areas for process improvements.
Documents, schedules, and executes project software builds/deployment.
Enforces the structure of the project Source Control libraries. Ensures all project source material is maintained the Source Control library including software source code and project documentation. Administers the Source Control tool providing maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.

A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools, version control, testing and QA, and deployment).
Ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly and apply that knowledge to the configuration management system
Knowledge in Dot Net, XML, Apache ANT, Power shell, SQL server required
Experience in source control systems like SVN will be an added advantage.

Selection process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on performance in aptitude test and communication skills
Candidates will be asked to develop a series of small programs using SQL
Candidate will be put on training and evaluation for a period of 1 months Candidates will be trained on our products, proprietary technical framework skills and evaluated towards end of the month. After successful completion of the training period, the job will be offered at the company.
Candidate will be on probation period of 6 months. Employment will be confirmed after probation period.
Salary range would be 2 lacs to 3 lacs per year for confirmed employees.
