Principal Software Engineering Manager @ Microsoft

Responsibilities

• B e a great engineering leader for the team and broader organization. You will be leading highly talented technical ly diverse team of developers and expected to provide technical direction
• Grow your engineering team, Invest in people on your team, nurture them though coaching and caring
• Be customer obsessed and c ollaborate with product, design, data disciplines , partner with other teams to accomplish business goals - deliver great end-user experiences on the web and advancements to Web APIs for developer success
• D esign and providing technical guidance to large feature area , ability to understand the technical details of a complex area and review the code in depth , G ain proficiency in the Chromium web platform in select areas
• Rigorous quality engineering practices across a ll phases of product development and deployment
• Use agile development principles to produce continuous value while readily adapting to change

Basic Qualifications

• 13 + years of professional industry experience working on large projects
• 4 + years of people management experience with managing team of seven plus individuals
• A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

• Consistent track record of shipping compelling technologies across multiple product release cycles.
• Excellent design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to design performant, highly usable, scalable, world-ready, accessible software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with creating and operating services in Azure and/or competitive offerings
• Experience in Microsoft .NET technologies (C# and .NET Framework) and/or competitive offerings
• Experience with Windows architecture and internals is a plus
• Effective collaboration skills driving changes at scale

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
