Job Description

Location Vilayat
Experience -Overall 10 years of experience of which atleast 5 years in FMCG (non-food) in products related to surfactants, disinfectants, cleansing products, food additives, etc.
Role Brief -Incumbentwill be responsible for the development of new formulations for various products including surfactants, disinfectants, cleansing products, food additives, etc.
Responsibilities: Focus of this role is for Product development and application approval for products in the area of surfactants, disinfectants, cleansing products, food additives, ets. .
- Researching, developing and testing formulations, raw materials, and processing techniques in traditional and/or non-conventional approaches to develop and improve existing products
- Evaluating ingredient and formula properties, testing and consumer perception studies to optimize formula efficiency
- Finding new additives/ingredients/processes to improve product performance and increase consumer satisfaction
- Creating and monitoring product specifications for formulations to ensure quality and market competitiveness
- Research the properties, applications and benefits of new molecules; synthesize new molecules; research the reapplication of existing molecules from other markets into uses in the Household, Industrial and Institutional markets
- Assist Marketing and Sales by identifying opportunities for current or new technologies developed
- Work proficiently and safely in the laboratory using standard techniques and identifying and implementing new techniques where necessary
- Direct the activities of technicians in their day-to-day activities, including running experiments, testing materials, setting up and testing new laboratory apparatus and other activities
- Travel to various customer locations and industry meetings in order to meet with customers and make industry contacts concerning technical opportunities
- Support marketing, technical services by developing, reviewing, critiquing and presenting communications such as Technical Data Sheets, slide presentations, posters, technical papers, etc. to customers, distributors and others
- Answer customer, sales and marketing questions about products, performance and applications of HI&I systems
- Work with engineers and manufacturing to produce and scale up new products, improve current processes and address product performance opportunities
- Write reports (monthly, project, etc.) that document and communicate the work that has been performed
- Give presentations to management concerning projects and the progress of work
REQUIRED Qualifications
- A degree in Chemistry, formulations or Chemical Engineering (Ph.D. or Masters preferred) with 4-7 years of experience in the FMCG space(non food category)
- Experience developing new products including formulation and molecular synthesis of novel materials and mixtures in the FMCF Space (non food category)
- Demonstrated the ability to develop a product from laboratory to market
- Working knowledge of the use of surfactants and/or dispersants
- Be able to utilize DoE and other advanced software and tools to reduce development time of new products
- Use Word, Excel, email and scientific software proficiently and be able to adapt to the tools provided
- Be able to work in a team environment, be a self-starter on projects and interact and support colleagues and others in a respectful but creative manner
The preferred candidate will:
- Have patents, publications or other public materials that demonstrate creativity in FMCG space(non food)
- Possess excellent writing skills
- Be able to present materials to an audience consisting of management, technical or non-technical colleagues, distributors or customers in such a way as to create understanding of the materials presented
