Job Description
# OVERVIEW
MiracleFeet India is a registered non-profit that is working to address the problem of untreated clubfoot in India. Our objective is pan India coverage of clubfoot treatment.
Clubfoot is a birth defect wherein one or both the feet are turned inwards, making it a leading cause of disability in children in the developing world. Based on a survey that was conducted, it is found that less than 15% of the children in low- and middle-income countries have access to quality clubfoot treatment.
Clubfoot has an incidence rate of 1 in 800 births making it one of the largest causes of disability in children in the developing world. In India approximately 33,000 children are born with clubfoot every year i.e. almost 19% of the total global clubfoot births.
Untreated clubfoot makes it painful and difficult to walk, and such patients are at a higher risk of discrimination, neglect, sexual and physical abuse, isolation, abandonment, loss of opportunities including education and several other negative socio-economic effects on their lives. Young girls with disabilities become much more vulnerable and are at higher risks of being negatively affected.
Globally, Miraclefeet is present in 29 countries and has enrolled over 53,000 children for treatment. Currently, Miraclefeet India is present in 8 states namely Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. MiracleFeet India implements its program in partnership with the government and select charitable/trust hospitals.
We are led by experts in the field of non-profit management and a board of directors composed of Indian business leaders. Our aim is to ensure that no child should grow up disabled as a result of being born with clubfoot.

# KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (in detail)
1. Book-keeping
Receiving bills and checking completeness including supporting documents
Making payments as necessary and recording them in accounting software (Tally) in a timely manner.
Ensure receipts are provided to donors in a timely manner.
Ensure standard operating procedures mentioned in the finance and administrative manual are complied.
Make entries in the accounting software with proper compliance to cost centres.
Filing of all documents while ensuring easy retrieval.
Communication to employees and vendors on payment.
2. Banking
Ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled monthly.
Drawing cheques and other modes of payment on a regular basis.
Ensure legal payments such as TDS, Provident Fund, Professional Tax and Service Tax as applicable are paid in time.
3. MIS
File and scan all documents in an easily retrievable manner for various audits - internal, statutory and donor.
Provide inputs for variance reports by region, donor, and organisation wide. # POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Level of Education- Hold a graduate degree in commerce and accounts (B. Com)
Experience- Have two years of experience in handling accounts function
Experience with Chartered Accountant Firm or with NGO will be an added advantage# PREFERRED SKILL SET
Working knowledge in Tally
Good knowledge of computer - Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
