Sql Server Database Administrator @ Corporate Steps

Job Description

Duties/ Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for all functions associated with maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, reporting and recovery procedures
• Manage and troubleshoot the L3 tasks independently
• Should have a thorough knowledge of data security Setup and Configuration of High availability concepts like Replication, Mirroring and log shipping
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
• Responsible for implementation and release of database
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Database security patch application.
• Troubleshooting DB Crash
• Rebuild Database due to Incident
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship.
• Strong analytical skills for problem solving database related issues.
• Cross-training to support Oracle team members in terms of maintenance of physical database structures and associated hardware, network and system configurations.

Experience

• SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 Configuration and Administration. Should have proficiency in SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 optimization and fine-tuning
• Experience in MySQL administration is a must requirement. Knowledge of Postgres is preferable.
