Job Function :

• Leads and Owns the Firmware and Software testing for Ultrasonic Flow Meters

Representative Duties:

• Ensures smooth execution of Ultrasonic Flow Meter s Firmware and Software projects. This includes

• Coordinate with engineering and marketing stakeholders

• Collect the requirements, review them for feasibility, prepare the traceability matrix, test plan, risk identification and mitigation

• Define test strategy, test plan, test schedule for test development and regression testing to ensure the validation to the required quality agreed upon.

• Prepare the test metrics like variances, bug reporting, error rates and prepare necessary dashboards

• Providing regular updates to all stakeholders including weekly meetings, stage-gate meetings, strategic initiatives etc

• Work towards Continuous Improvement as well as strive for First Time Right (FTR) goals

• Adopting the required work environment like agile towards systematic execution of projects

• Guide and perform/ensure the detailed review of test objectives, test cases, test inputs, test procedures and test scripts developed by the team and ensure its repeatability and maintainability as well.

• Mobilizing and advancing Test Automation continuously using the right tools, technologies and platforms.

• Accountable for test setup management Requirements, facilitation, installation and maintenance

• Performance Management: Convert the team goals to individual goals and carry out performance appraisals

• Talent Development: Work with seniors (Business unit and EICP) towards identification and implementation of competency development/nourishment of the senior members of the team towards technological and leadership readiness. Strive for international certifications for the team members.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelors or Masters in Electronics or Electronics & Instrumentation or Computer Engineering (similar or higher)

• 10+ years of software engineering focused on testing and validation of embedded software/desktop applications

• 5+ years in managing and technically leading a test team

• ISTQB Foundation level (or equivalent) certification along with ISTQB Test Manager is required

• Scrum certification or Project Management certification like PMP is required

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in working with Windows application test management and doing testing with different windows configurations. Knowledgeable in Windows GUI Integrated testing with firmware devices, test automation tools & Distributed Testing, preferable is Test Complete

• Proficient in testing embedded software and working with analysis equipment (i.e., different Software protocol analyzers, test boxes, oscilloscopes, Multimeter)

• Hands-on expert in software test strategy, developing test automation framework, test environment setup, test planning, monitoring along with test status reporting.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with a scripting language like Jscript (preferred), JavaScript, VB Script and/or C language in career

• Proficient with test configuration management, test artefact version control processes and testing tools. Knowledge of Subversion is desired

• Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle, processes like requirement traceability, test metrics, test reports, etc and familiarity with CMMi model
