- Design, Install, Manage and Support ESXi Virtualization, RHEL & windows server administration as Subject Matter Expert. Administer, demonstrate Server Administration skills.
- Perform activities across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining for Hypervisor & Server OS Administration.
- Provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
Excellent knowledge and experience in below areas:
- Design, Implement, configure, Install, OS Hardening & support VMware ESXi 6.x/ 7.x, Windows O.S (Windows 2008, 2012,2016) & Linux Redhat 6/7/8.
- Providing L2 & L3 support for Windows & Linux Server as per request from various constituencies. Strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL 6/7/8 administration, performance tuning and support experience
- Windows OS with Strong in O.S Troubleshooting knowledge like BSOD, O.S Upgrades, Event Logs Analysis, Server Performance Analysis, Cluster Servers, Handling Cluster migration & Upgrade tasks
- Good experience on Windows OS with Scripting and automating knowledge mentoring L1 team with SOP's and technical briefings. Managing and maintenance and troubleshooting of Antivirus servers, security servers.
- Knowledge in Active Directory, Group Policy Management, GPO, AD Replication, AD Troubleshooting, DFS configuration, DNS, DHCP, WDS Server and troubleshooting, networking, storage & Backup
- Strong Linux administrative skills with Linux networking, kernel parameter & experience in configuring Red Hat Satellite, Kickstart servers, Identity Management
- Linux administrative skills with Perform OS upgrades and patch installations, Understanding of Yum and RPM and how to create application repositories and synchronization of application repos. Troubleshooting knowledge on Samba, SNMP, NTP, PAM, SSH, file systems, Shell scripting, SUDO, Multipath, SFTP, DNS, principles including hands on FC and iSCSI.
- Ability to provision bare metal installs, configure, operate and maintain systems. Experience with ESXi including capacity planning, advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting, and performance management
- Experience on coordinating with vendors & technology partners to resolve hardware & software issue
- Good knowledge on Storage with SAN provisioning and decommission experience
- Patch Management, upgrading, Deployment, documentation pertaining to design, architecture, operation, etc. Patch upgrading of ESXi Host, VM tools & Troubleshooting etc.
- Experience with maintaining Disaster Recovery sites / documentation with other technologies know how like HA, DRS, Snapshot, Clone, Templates, VM Creation, vMotion and Storage vMotion, Capacity Planning
- Basic Knowledge of Azure, AWS, cloud infrastructure server management, deployment, Migration tasks
- Knowledge of Server Hardware - HP, DELL, IBM, Cisco UCS Servers, Blade Servers
- Server Hardware management and Drivers / Firmware Upgrades, Upgrade of Hardware firmware version of all hardware components of the system. Like HBA card, NIC cards, Raid controllers and baseboard of the system
- Good understanding of ITIL Processes.
