Lead Engineer - Bengaluru/Bangalore - Collins @ Collins Aerospace

ECAD Librarian, responsible for creation of electrical, electro-mechanical component schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and part mapping using multiple Library tools from Mentor, Cadence, Altium. Contribute to all phases ECAD Library development process including activities that involve maintenance of the component libraries. Dynamically work with varying volume of requests and priorities without losing customer focus and project schedules. Candidates need to bring a combination of IPC standards, industry knowledge of electronic components and its packages, strong cross team functional experience.

• Create Schematic Symbols, PCB Footprints, part mapping and creation as per IPC Standards, suggested Data-sheet recommendations
• Analyze and modify Schematic Symbols, PCB Footprints, for any change requests
• Work with multiple ECAD Library data management of global, project specific Libraries
• Work with DXF files for creating footprints of Connectors, Custom parts, ICs
• Interpret and/or assign 3D Models of Electronic, Electro-mechanical components
• Resolve Library mapping issues, if any, with cross functional teams
• 3 Years of experience in Mentor, Cadence ECAD Library tools
• Experience with component package types, form-fit-function, and tradeoffs
• Expertise in reading Manufacturer datasheet, custom drawings interpreting required information for Symbol, Foot-print creation, and part parametric data
• IPC 7351 Naming convention and Library standards; JEDEC Standards
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing, assembly processes
• Experience in working with Microsoft Excel, Word Document
• B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics/Electrical and 4 to 7 years of relevant experience
