Job Description
We are looking for a QA Mobile Automation Engineer to join our team of IT professionals.. As a QA Mobile Automation Engineer, you will be liaising with the Developers and Project Managers to identify and test key features of mobile application. Apart from testing, you should be able to develop well-planned and structured test plans/cases.
You will be investigating the causes of non-conforming software programs. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities. If you have a strong technical background and can streamline all testing activities, then we would love to have you on board.
Responsibilities
- Mobile experience (IOS & Android) is a must-have, Web is a nice-to-have.
- Automate functional, regression, and smoke tests using internal and open source tools
- Create tooling around the entire testing workflow, all the way from test case management, test data creation, automatic bug captures, test progress measurement etc.
- Define test specifications for functional, integration and performance testing.
- Manage and configure build servers used for running automation
- Work in collaboration with development team in continuous build & deployment process
- Report test coverage and participate in troubleshooting
- Manual testing and coverage for new features that have not yet been automated; Perform Black Box and White Box testing
- Create and maintain test plans as our product grows in functionality
Requirements
- 3-4 years experience with UI Automation testing tools for Mobile (iOS/ Android) using Appium and Selenium. Bonus if you have experience with React Native.
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related
- Previous work experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or relevant position in the IT department
- Complete understanding of automation systems and databases
- Basic knowledge of scripting and other related procedures
- Expertise in automation testing tools like Appium+Selenium / Kobiton / AWS Device Farm / MobiReady
- Understanding of testing protocols
- Know-how of different types of testing methods like white box and black box testing
- Familiarity with the software development process
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Must be an immediate joiner or someone who can join in a month's time
