- Research and Design human-computer interaction and user interfaces for products and applications that support Hitachi s cross-industry business needs like Energy, Industry, Mobility, Smart Life, and Information Technology.
- Provide design and implementation support for proof-of-Concept of next-generation technology solutions for Hitachi and its clients, with focus on user-behaviour centric solutions . Creative thinking, eye for the detail, and deep understanding of the latest design principles and trends are key requirements. Ability to imagine and visualize the next is critical.
- Conduct Design Thinking sessions and User Testing for applications, software and websites. Conduct workshops to elicit user requirements and understand the objectives and motivations for the design task at hand.
- Create and develop User Profiles, Personas and Journeys for tangible solutions to business problems. This includes design, development and documentation of Interaction Models, User Task flows, Scenario communications for hypothetical users and End-to-End Experience flows. Good understanding of, and commitment to time and cost constraints for project execution.
- Collaborate with and communicate to relevant stakeholders for successful design outcome. Clear articulation about design approach is vital.
- Audit and assess the experience quotient of existing applications.
- Provide RD support to Hitachi business units and group companies to productize research prototypes.
- Add value to self through continuous learning and knowledge acquisition; give back learnings to colleagues and communities; mentor colleagues for growth and success.
- Generate eminence via patents, publications, thought leadership, invited speakerships and conspicuous presence in forums of repute.
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Academic Qualification: Bachelor s degree in any Discipline (e.g., Industry Design, IT Experiential Design, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology)
2. Solution Design: Hands-on Experience in Solution Design of Enterprise-class information technology systems and related methodology (e.g., Design Thinking, Use Cases, Agile development).
3. Technology Hands-on: Proven track record in below areas :
A. Front-end, client-end experience: Minimum 2 years of solid User Interface Design skills using various tools like,
- Adobe Creative Suits Adobe Illustrator (Vector Graphic), Adobe Photoshop (Raster Graphic)
- Wireframing Sketch, Figma or any other tool in that category
- Image and Video Editing (basics): Must be comfortable working with .png, .svg files for icons, fonts etc.
B. Ability to work with Audio-Visual media : Create, Edit and publish audio visuals to support product related guidance, help or promotions.
C. Knowledge of elementary animation is an added advantage : Suggest and/or Create animations for multiple components of a product.
4. User Interface Component Testing: This includes, but not limited to the knowledge of negativity testing of User Experience for a product.
5. Collaboration and Communication : Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills; Ability to articulate key messages concisely and precisely.
