Sr Lead Software Engineer @ Collins Aerospace

The Senior Lead Engineer will be part of a team of cybersecurity engineers focused at applying security controls into design and development of Avionics products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior member of a team responsible for enhancing security of Avionics products
• Provide technology leadership for a team of cybersecurity engineers
• Develop threat models and formulate mitigations to vulnerabilities assessed, in conjunction with the product development teams, promoting best practices and secure development
• Technical security assessments of products and develop security controls solutions
• Engage in application and domain-specific threat modelling and attack surface analysis reduction
• Identify and ensure resolution of possible security implications of every release
• Produce evaluation reports of cybersecurity assessments and possible recommendations
• Think independently to solve complex problems, and effectively articulate decisions to the team
• Understand and implement Agile practices throughout development life cycle

Experience:

• 8 yearsexperience in:
  • Scanning and assessing system vulnerabilities
  • Reviewing architecture for security vulnerabilities
  • Conducting security audit of the code base with Static Application Security Testing (SAST)/Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools such as CheckMarx and Coverity
  • Applying fixes against identified cyber vulnerability
  • Secure coding and code remediation coupled with direct programming experience in C, C /Java, and JavaScript
  • Employing wide range of security tools: Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool, Fortify, Nessus, Black Duck, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, WireShark, etc.
• Experience in Configuration Management and Change Control Process using tools like Git, JIRA etc
• Team handling, strong influencing and communication skills

Good to have:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
