OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Efficient contribution to Tender execution ( including TT Agreements) over Transfer Activities (S,D).
  • Efficient contribution to Project execution over Transfer Activities (S,D,R).
  • TT processes and tools deployment and improvement (S,D,R) .
  • Efficient Data sharing with Transfer Stakeholders (Donor/Receiver; Project/Metiers/Sites) (S,D,R).
  • Is in charge to define specific tooling, ensure its manufacturing and its implementation in production.
  • Act in respect of standards, AT rules and business targets (EHS, Ergonomics, QCD).
  • Perform tooling costing.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE:

REPORTS TO: Industrial Performance Director (Reports operationally to the Project Manager, Reports functionally to the TT Process Owner)

DIRECT REPORTS : 10-15 Nos.

RESPONSIBILITIES ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsibilities at tender phase:

  • Achieve Project and Tender QCD objectives for TT. (D,R)
  • Manage TT Team, IMP, Transfer Document, Manage Training and Assistance. (D,R)
  • Analyse Transfer Risk and drive related action plan (D).
  • Connect and coordinate Donor and Receiver metier stakeholders (D,R).
  • Manage IMP (R) . Ensure IMP validation by Donor (D).
  • Identify the need for tooling with the PIM and the Costing Manager.

Evaluate the total cost of the tooling, broken down in the following categories:

  • Study (specification, design)
  • Manufacturing and implementation
  • Maintenance
  • Study (specification, design)
  • Manufacturing and implementation
  • Maintenance

At project execution phase:

  • Manage TT Data/Documents ( DML, Transmital Sheet, RFC, translation ..) (D,R)
  • Define and Execute relevant Training and Assistance Plans (D,R)
  • Ensure Transfer activities are performed within AT EHS standards.
  • Deploy and propose improvement of TT Standards and Processes. (S,D,R)
  • Develop TT understanding and competencies over sites and metiers (S,D,R).
  • Contribute to improve process efficiency and active data sharing (best practices, REX ). (S,D,R)
  • To develop and maintain common TT data Library (processes, tools, contract) (S,D)
  • To ensure TT common way of working and to use of TT best practice. (S,D,R)
  • Set-up, execute and maintain TT Plans (D). This covers all Industrial activities (PME, Production, Testing, Quality, Supply Chain, Assistance to Sub-Contractor).
  • Analyze the tooling requested and propose the adequate solution.
  • Write the functional specification and get approval from the Process Manufacturing engineers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, EHS and Industrial Quality representatives.
  • Send documented purchase request, participate to RFQ analysis, and contribute to the business award with Sourcing.
  • Perform the design of the tooling or make it sub-contracted.
  • Validate the design through design reviews, involving above actors.
  • Validate the manufactured tooling.
  • Perform operating procedure when needed and train manufacturing team to use it.
  • Follow-up implementation of the tooling and first use. Perform adjustment.
  • Specify inspection operations, handling and maintenance instruction.
  • Write periodic inspection sheets.
  • lead CoE Tooling for global Alstom

Other activities:

  • Participates to Alstom Tooling network.
  • Contribute to enrich the AT database of standard tooling specifications and TT process
  • Participate to continuous improvement actions (SWIP) in support to Production.

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS

  • Technical education.
  • Mechanics, Automation.
  • English read, written, spoken

EXPERIENCE SKILL SET:

  • Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing or Plant Maintenance background with min 10 years experience preferably in the railway industry.
  • Exposure in TT process handling/leading
  • Experience in Project or Industrial QCD management.
  • Technical experience of Process Manufacturing Engineering
  • Good practice of CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA )
  • Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics.
  • Familiar with IS common tools.
  • Process FMEA, QRQC.
