Greetings for the day!
We are hiring for Network Security Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze firewall policies and configurations; identify/implement needed firewall policy changes.
- Review aged firewall rules and act based on business needs.
- Identify firewall rule ownership and work with Cyber team to determine next steps.
- Ensure compliance with departmental and enterprise security configuration standards.
- Maintain standards documentation, design documentation/templates/topology diagrams and workflow documents.
- Assist in implementation projects to ensure successful delivery of security services.
- Provide Level 2 - 3 support to existing customers within the Americas ITG group Assist in the research, design, and implementation of information technology, systems, and policies for information security in support of business needs and requirements.
- Perform resolution of security and network related Work Orders, Change Requests and Incidents as well as participating in root cause analysis and/or major incident/problem management conference calls
- Leverage existing and/or future security centric tools to perform day to day tasks, audits, documentation, and mitigation/resolution of issues or incidents for all Americas ITG clients
- Participate in an on-call rotation that provides 7x24 support and response to Major Incident, Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
- Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of network security solutions.
- Assist with creating SOPs, and other relevant information to assist other Engineering team members and Operations with log management and other monitoring analysis activities.
- Install, configure and support traditional and legacy network and security components, such as firewalls, VPN gateways, IPS on premise and in the cloud.
- Assist with the design, and implementation of interconnectivity of IaaS infrastructures whether from Public Cloud providers such as AWS or MS Azure, or Private Cloud implementations.
- Assist the implementation and troubleshooting of VSX infrastructures Configure and support security information and event management systems.
- Support intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Assist in planning and executing of network security projects.
- Evaluate enterprise network architectures and designs security for improvements.
- Troubleshoot network configuration anomalies.
- Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned. Successful candidates will possess:
- Knowledge in Check Point R80.10 firewalls, including Provider-1 (SDM).
- Knowledge in Check Point VSX Knowledge in Cisco networking, routing and switching.
- A knowledge of change management best-practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills due to the need to communicate extensively with team members and LOB contacts.
- A passion for teamwork.
- Ability to work in a flexible work environment
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelors degree (preferred) CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert) Certification (required) CISSP,CISM, CISA or GIAC certifications (an asset)
- 5 years of experience supporting a large enterprise network infrastructure.
- 5 years operational experience with firewall technologies
- 5 years experience with Checkpoint firewalls and IPS (required)
- 2 years experience with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS (preferred)
- Cisco Security Certification or equivalent experience (preferred)

- 7+ years combined experience with IT Security, Networking and Enterprise Technologies
- Extensive hands-on experience implementing, supporting and troubleshooting the following technologies: Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, VPN, VMware and/or Microsoft enterprise applications, including Azure
- Experience working in an ITIL-modeled IT environment
