Job Responsibilities:
- The key responsibilities of the role are to meet the short term and long term demands as per agreed service levels, manage inventory and vendor payments, optimally source all API s, Intermediates, Raw Material and Packaging Materials etc and to ensure supplier quality assurance, reduce supply risks.
- Enabling qualification of change notifications, independently interacting with cross functional teams for qualification of change.
- Manage the development of short, medium and long term procurement plan ensuring it is aligned with Business and Purchasing strategies
- Assess risk factors to ensure minimum cost exposure to Business and take appropriate action to ensure exposure is kept to an absolute minimum.
- Manage negotiations for all vendors ensuring cost, quality, service targets and standards are achieved demonstrating competitive advantage to the Business as a result.
- Arranging Purchase Orders and managing deliveries at site of materials with required quality, quantity and on time.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Business Unit, Plant, R&D, SCM and Regulatory teams. Strong collaborations needed with project Management, Planning, Legal and IP teams.
- Work closely within the supply chain and finance teams to ensure that the financial impact of any sourcing activity is captured. Ensure Purchasing data is robust, relevant and communicated internally in a timely manner.
