Job Description
Requirements:Experience 5-7 Years; should have capability to handle Heavy Oil & Gas Project at 150-200 cores project. Project Engineering or Project Management experience in Oil & Gas should have experience (Hydrocarbons Storage Terminals, LPG & Cavern Works, Pipe lines, Steel Structurals etc.,) The position shall be based in Mangalore, Karnataka State, India.
Technical Skills:
1. Knowledge in methods of measurements.
2. Should be able to extract detailed quantities and BOM from drawings.
3. Should have knowledge on rate analysis.
4. Should be able to prepare change order quantities.
5. Should have sufficient knowledge on preparing quantities for sub vendors / sub
contractors.
6. Should have preferable knowledge on Civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing &
instrumentation works.
7. Should assist the site in preparation on Running account and Final bills to be
submitted to client.
8. Reconciliation statements for all the materials, vendors & sub vendors at site.
9. Should exercise overall control in quantity execution at site.
10. Should raise an alarm when crossing budgets set for site activities.
11. Estimation and valuation for local purchases.
Responsibilities:
1. Before commencing any construction project, the quantity surveyor should analyze
the drawing and specifications of the buildings and provide quantities.
2. Shall calculate the quantity of material used in the buildings and other areas. Should
be able to calculate the actual work and labour cost to arrive at overall expenditure
for a given work.
3. Should be technically qualified to use measurement tools for accurate cost results.
4. QS should keep an eye on the cost being made on the various activities.
5. QS should play a crucial role in managing the finances for projects and making them
cost-effective
