Role Summary
The Software Tester is expected to perform Functional testing of the build, reporting of Defect, create/update/delete the test cases, verify cases reported by customers and report bugs, and perform testing on patches provided to fix certain bugs/issues.

Job Description Duty Statements
1 Service Level Agreement
To maintain the SLA on every build (Regression or Changelogs).
To maintain SLA on patches assigned.
To maintain SLA on all the ready for QA JIRA.
Need to ensure all the test cases assigned during a build to be completed within the SLA & with highest quality of work.
2 Functional testing
To maintain SLA on patches assigned.

To perform end to end testing which includes functionality, usability etc.
To perform regression/smoke/sanity testing on every build created.
Identify and report defect identified while testing the product.
Reporting all defects identified under JIRA
Is responsible to prepare report of testing done and update the stake holder.
3 Documentation (Test Case/JIRA)

To maintain thorough check on the testing output.

To maintain thorough check on the testing output.

To create new test cases for testing
To maintain all the test cases used for regression testing and keeping them updated
To add or remove test cases from the list as and when required.
To create new test cases for each change logs/new feature from Functional scope document

6 Patch testing
To perform testing on the patches provided to fix a certain bug/issue
7 Bug Verification
To verify cases in the bug verification request queue to establish whether they are bugs and update the appropriate teams according the testing status.
