Senior Software Engineer - Chennai - BNP @ BNP Paribas

Job Description

• The role is for a Developer with experience of working within a dynamic and demanding environment reacting to changing business needs who works equally well as an individual or as part of a team.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Application Development and Maintenance support experience. The candidate must have past experience of working as a part of large Development / Support team.
• The role will also involve the all aspects of the Application development, ME activities and to provide L3 support ticket resolutions.
• Previous experience within the investment banking sector is not essential but a highly motivated and skilled individual who can add to the current group of talented resources is considered more important. .

Contributing Responsibilities

• Technical Behavioral Competencies
• Technical expertise in Microfocus Cobol,JCL,DB2 and CICS
• Ability to analyze, debug and troubleshoot
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Knowledge in LINUX and shell scripting will be an added advantage
• Troubleshoot performance problems
• Good Knowledge of Unix Server environment platforms
• Good Knowledge Understanding Oracle SQL.
• Flair for learning new tools technology
• Good Understanding of Autosys scheduler
