Job description:

  Primary Responsibilities:
Represents the customer, interfaces and engages the customer (PDTL/Program Manager/CE/OEM).
Creates and manages software Feature Implementation Plan aligned with product level plan working with Systems, Software and Validation disciplines.
Creates, maintains and prioritizes the Software Product Backlog.
Manages external (customer DCRs) and internal change requests through software backlog items and leads the Software Change Control Board.
Works with systems team, design champion/software architect to create stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint along with acceptance criteria.
Ensures stories are made clear to the scrum team and requirements related impediments are resolved on time in coordination with systems requirements team.
Supports Technical Delivery Manager(s) to define lower level sprint plans in alignment with project level plans.
In Sprint Planning meetings, conveys vision, prioritization and expectations towards defining sprint goals & Definition of Done (DOD).
Adjusts the course of the software project at the end of every Sprint when product level priorities change.
Perform sprint review of the product and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
Participates in the project review with the Regional SW lead.
Supports identification of new potential SW suppliers, Software Supplier sourcing activities, Assessment of Suppliers and any other activities as defined in SSOW.
Leads and delivers software quote responses to the PD Quote Lead by involving the affected parties such as SW Architect/DC, TDM and SMEs.
Coordinates, collates and delivers technical / capability presentations to customers when needed.
Desired skills/Experience:
Formal Product Owner Training and Certification.
Experience in Software Product Development using Agile methodologies.
Solid experience in embedded software development preferably with Automotive background.
Experience in development of Cluster/Infotainment/Platform Software.
Excel in Teamwork and relationship management with Customer.
Quick decision-making and negotiation skills.
Communication skills - Verbal and Written.
Experience in problem solving and process improvement.
Ability to speak Japanese Language.
