Description
Strategic Contribution:
- As a member of the management team, contribute towards the formulation and implementation of overall business strategies and plans with specific focus on KGFS revenues and margins which enable the achievement of KGFSs mission and objectives.
- Identifies problems and opportunities influencing KGFS and addresses them; brings those which are appropriate to the Board and/or its committees; and, facilitates discussion and deliberation.
- Informs the Board and its committees / Sr. Management team about trends, issues, problems and activities in order to facilitate policy-making and recommends policy decisions.
Business Strategy:
- Directs implementation of strategies and plans through the leadership of KGFS in-order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved and objectives are met.
- Directs focus on bottom line by ensuring profitability and optimal utilization of available resources.
Financing/ Fund Raising:
- Works with financial institutions (build and maintain relationship with local financial institutions) to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals.
- Participates actively in identifying, cultivating and soliciting potential lenders.
Budget:
- Oversees the financial activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting and audit.
- Play a consultative role in review and development of functional plans and budgets for KGFS to ensure that plans are realistic and stretching but capitalise upon commercial/operational opportunities.
Stakeholder Relationships:
- Promote a favourable image to all external stakeholders so that KGFS is viewed as a customer-focussed, innovative and trusted institution.
Business Performance & Compliance:
- Monitor operational business performance against strategic objectives by regular management review to ensure that objectives are fulfilled and required corrective action is taken in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assures the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitors compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain an extensive network of internal and external contacts to ensure that KGFS is optimally placed in its understanding of business, economic and commercial challenges and opportunities.
- Lead relationship building initiatives with important leaders and officials in the locality who have significant influence in the community.
Products and Processes:
- Ensures KGFS stability through development and implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular evaluation.
- Directs strict adherence to products and processes standards and procedures in KGFS.
- Ensure implementation of all products and processes as per the set procedures.
- Ensure adequate penetration of products in respective KGFS branches.
