Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze the medical history and medical condition of the patients by communicating with them.
• Record and maintain the case histories of patients and co-ordinate meetings to monitor recovery during and after treatment.
• Interact and communicate well with the patients to diagnose symptoms, prescribe treatment options and answer their queries regarding the disease and the treatment.

JOB DUTIES:

• To carry out initial consultations with patients to learn their detailed case history
• To have a knowledge on how to use homeopathic remedies on a range of conditions, such as arthritis, eczema, depression and phobias
• To monitor and evaluate patient progress
• To instruct patients about the use and effects of particular remedies and respond to any queries they may have
• To advise on lifestyle issues, such as diet, exercise and mental health
• To refer patients to other health practitioners, as appropriate
• Have a eye on keep detailed clinical notes and records for each patient
• To do research on medical conditions and homeopathic remedies
• To run seminars and presentations for the community groups, or for other health practitioners, to promote homeopathy.
• To prescribe patients with highly diluted substances based on their symptoms.
• Assessing their patients by asking them in-depth questions about their health problems, lifestyle, medical history, diet and personality. Through this holistic approach, homeopaths draw up prescriptions for their patients and then track their progress through follow-up appointments.
• To perform managerial, marketing and administrative duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Good knowledge about the treatment of diseases including the tablets and liquids.
• Must be able to work during emergencies and take decisions under pressure.
• Must be able to support patients who are psychologically weak and help them build confidence.
• Willingness to learn continuously and be updated with the latest methods of treatment and homeopathic techniques.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and listening skills for case-taking and patient management
• An open, non-judgmental approach and the ability to gain patients' trust
• Sensitivity, maturity and resilience to cope with the emotional demands of patient consultations
• An analytical approach combined with creativity and intuition for choosing the appropriate remedy
• In-depth knowledge of remedies, and an understanding of disease processes
• The ability and confidence to promote and run your own practice.
